Junior Art Director

We’re looking for a creative thinker with an artistic eye, a keen sense of leadership, and the know-how to take a client’s visual brand to the next level to help us elevate that work as our full-time Junior Art Director.

Not just for getting along with everyone during company retreats, monthly office barbeques, and the occasional drink after work, but you will needs to draw on communication and collaboration skills to best strategize, manage and execute the visual stylings of a winning creative agency.

 

In the Junior Art Director role, you will lead the charge of the look and feel of campaigns and promotional materials. This position requires the creativity and attentiveness of an experienced designer who will manage all aspects of a project, from the beginning concepts, design elements, and copy to timelines and team collaboration. The Junior Art Director will oversee projects from concept to completion through various mediums including print, digital, mobile, video, as well as internal and external corporate publications for clients within multiple industries while maintaining brand standards.

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Produces art layouts by developing art concepts and providing creative direction to designers
  • Trains, assigns, schedules, and mentors designers
  • Meets art department work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards
  • Identifies work process improvements
  • Formulates art concepts by supervising designers engaged in executing layout designs for artwork and copy to be presented by visual communications media
  • Reviews project production factors by studying background information, objectives, presentation approaches, styles, and techniques
  • Selects and secures illustrative material by formulating basic layout design concepts and conducting research
  • Improves quality by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations
  • Leads the artistic development of marketing and promotional pieces, including print, online, mobile, television, and radio advertisements; collateral materials; and internal and external corporate publications
  • Supervises a team of 3-4 graphic designers, photographers, videographers, illustrators, and production artists
  • Works with copywriters to develop strategies for advertising campaigns
  • Ensures that all aspects of the campaign align with the needs of the client or company.
  • Utilize proven art skills and experience to create and implement new creative ideas
  • Work independently to create initial designs

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in art, fine arts, or design
  • 2 years of experience as a junior art diretor or equivalent  
  • 2 years within an agency environment
  • Expert with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere)
  • Experience with Keynote, Google Suite, Powerpoint
  • Background in graphic design with a supporting portfolio
  • Proficiency with Mac computers

 

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position and you will be required to work in our Murrieta, CA location two set days per week following our hybrid remote schedule.

Account Manager
DETAILS

At The Creative Bar, we believe remarkable talent, enthusiasm, and creative thinking add up to great work. We’re looking for a creative thinker with excellent organizational skills to help us elevate that work as our full-time Account Manager.

 

In the Account Manager role, you will provide administrative and client support to the accounts department. Assist in the day-to-day administration of branding, marketing, public relations, and advertising initiatives to attract potential customers and retain existing ones for the agency. This includes maintaining a high level of awareness with client activities, detail-oriented program and project management (specifically between internal departments), and professional communication with key client contacts as needed.

 

As a member of the accounts team, our Account Manager will build and enhance strong relationships with existing and potential clients across multiple brands and industries. In this role, you will be responsible for all communication with clients and vendors to ensure all facets of a project are communicated clearly both internally with the team as well as externally.

 

The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to run both in-person client meetings and/or zoom calls. You will work closely with the executive and design teams to understand each client’s industry, products/services, branding, and marketing goals while maintaining clear and open lines of communication between the two.

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Communicating with clients to ensure that all of their needs are understood and addressed.
  • Building strong client relationships to maintain old business and acquire new customers.
  • Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests.
  • Resolving complaints and keeping track of all processes that pertain to the client’s desires.
  • Acting as the client’s representative to ensure that their demands are met with a focus on improving the customer experience.
  • Work with fast-moving, multifunctional teams exploring new products and services.
  • Preparing account service-related documents such as meeting agendas, proposals, and other client communications and correspondence.
  • Participating in and documenting discussions.
  • Creating and/or providing feedback on project estimates and timelines.
  • Fielding and processing internal information requests.
  • Maintaining current work-in-progress records and archives of past project information as appropriate.
  • Ensure that content is engaging, relevant, and on-brand.
  • Provide insight to designers, developers, marketers, and operations professionals.
  • Stay up to date with—and develop—best practices for creating content.
  • Some travel may be required.
