Social Media Specialist + Copywriter

At The Creative Bar, we believe remarkable talent, enthusiasm, and creative thinking add up to great work. We’re looking for a creative thinker with excellent writing and social media skills to help us elevate that work as our full-time, in-house Social Media Specialist/Copywriter.

As a member of the creative team, our Social Media Specialist/Copywriter will enhance and build strong online communities across multiple brands through various social media platforms. They will be responsible for developing and administering social media content that is designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between consumers and the company. The successful candidate will also be required to collect and review social media data to develop more effective campaigns.

In the role of copywriter, the ideal candidate will write and edit copy for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, and social media), working closely with the accounts and design teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging. Thorough research and interviews will be required to understand each client’s industry, products/services, branding, and marketing goals. The most successful copywriter will be a quick learner with a versatile writing style.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Work closely with the design team to develop social media campaigns that help to achieve marketing goals
  • Develop monthly reports on emerging social media trends 
  • Monitor social media accounts and offer constructive interaction with users
  • Analyze the long-term needs for the social media strategy and offer reports to the management and executive teams that outline any necessary changes to the digital marketing plan.
  • Ability to monitor online activity across departments and geographical areas to ensure anyone using the company’s online tools is following established guidelines and best-practice rules
  • Encourage greater social media participation
  • Identify opportunities to influence public perception through audience engagement and public
  • Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
  • Writing clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy
  • Drive the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication
  • Understand different language styles that appeal to various target markets
  • Develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and organized

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a social media specialist or similar position
  • Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use social media for impressions and brand awareness
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook
  • Understanding of social media KPIs, web traffic metrics, and SEO
  • Experience doing buyer persona and audience research
  • Experience in producing copy for digital, print, and broadcast channels
  • Exceptional skill with the nuances of social media writing, including the use of hashtags, emojis and acronyms

Graphic Designer I

The Creative Bar is actively searching for a Graphic Designer I with the qualifications below:

  • A degree in Graphic Design, Fine Art, or Communications required with a minimum of 4 years experience in professional graphic design
  • Knowledge and comfort working in Adobe Creative Cloud programs required (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop; Web experience a plus)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Approachable and consultative, bringing solutions to design challenges
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Solid production skills
  • Ability to read proofer’s marks and work closely with Creative and Art directors as well as copy editors
  • Must demonstrate a strong portfolio showcasing consistency across a range of marketing collateral.
  • Must be comfortable working as a team or independently and resolving creative challenges
  • Must make judgments and decisions based upon experience and project requirements

Account Coordinator
DETAILS

We are currently looking for an outstanding individual that supports our vision to create and expand long-lasting client relationships. In the Account Coordinator role, you will provide administrative and client support to the account department. Assist in the day-to-day administration of branding, marketing, public relations, and advertising initiatives to attract potential customers and retain existing ones for the agency. This includes maintaining a high level of awareness with client activities, detail-oriented program and project management (specifically between internal departments), and professional communication with key client contacts as needed. Although a lot of time will be spent on the administration side of the account, this is a stepping-stone to the many duties of an account manager.

Responsibilities listed below:

  • Work with fast-moving, multifunctional teams exploring new products and services.
  • Preparing account service-related documents such as meeting agendas, proposals, and other client communications and correspondence.
  • Participating in and documenting discussions.
  • Creating and/or providing feedback on project estimates and timelines.
  • Fielding and processing internal information requests.
  • Maintaining current work-in-progress records and archives of past project information as appropriate.
  • Ensure that content is engaging, relevant and on-brand.
  • Provide insight to designers, developers, marketers and operations professionals.
  • Stay up to date with—and develop—best practices for creating content.
  • Some travel may be required.

Experience/Education:

  • B.A. or B.S. required, Master’s in Communications, Advertising, Education, English, Journalism, or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years content experience, including relevant background in marketing services.
  • Prior experience in content strategy, learning and development, publishing, copywriting, advertising, journalism, education, public relations, or social media a plus.
  • Experience with design and marketing a plus.
